Our Business

The business of Legacy Landbank is to provide the best team of Associates and strategic partnerships that enable  clients to manage their Legacy land acquisitions, dispositions and long range planning most effectively and efficiently.

Our primary business is conducted with high net worth individuals and businesses, along with their Family Offices. We also work with investment and conservation land asset holders like TIMO's, REITs, equity funds and conservation organizations.

Many of our established landbank clients enjoy the financial and environmental benefits from legacy land bought by their parents and grandparents before them.  A well constructed legacy landbank is an investment strategy that can help families and individuals of today provide for the benefits of generations to come.

   Our Conservation Ethic

We work very closely with the conservation community in conserving working lands, threatened habitat, and historically significant natural landscapes.  We have knowledge and experience in ecosystem marketplaces and the contacts in the public and private sector to bring these markets to our clients.  Our Associates have conserved some of America's most significant natural areas.

From headwaters to wetlands, from mountain tops to ranch valleys, we recognize the hidden values of a property that only experience can bring. Our private and institutional clients have access to our deal flow that includes properties not listed on the open market.

Our Investment Emphasis

The process of evaluating land investment returns includes detailed resource inventories and analysis.  Among the many factors included in the inventory and analysis are minerals, timber, environmental site assessment, access, topography, soils, climate, flora and fauna, invasives,  fire prevention management and property history.   The property is evaluated for highest and best use along with current use values using comparable sales.
